A place for honest conversation and meaningful change.

Hey! I’m Dawson.

I support adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, relationship difficulties, major life transitions, and patterns that leave them feeling stuck or disconnected.

I believe counselling should offer more than a place to vent. It should be a space where you feel genuinely understood, where difficult things can be named honestly, and where meaningful change becomes possible. My approach is warm, collaborative, practical, and appropriately challenging.

I draw primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Attachment Theory, and trauma-informed practice. My graduate training included extensive supervised clinical experience supporting clients with diverse and complex concerns.

I have completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and have applied for the Canadian Certified Counsellor designation, which is currently pending approval.

What Sets Us Apart

Honest, Purposeful Counselling

Parable is not simply a place to vent. Clients are met with warmth and compassion, but also with thoughtful questions, honest reflection, and appropriately challenging conversations that help uncover patterns and create meaningful movement.

Evidence-Based and Deeply Human

Your approach combines structured, research-informed methods such as ACT, CBT, and outcome monitoring with genuine relationship, humility, and attentiveness. The client is treated as a whole person—not a diagnosis or set of symptoms.

Counselling Rooted in Meaning

Parable helps clients move beyond symptom relief toward clarity, purpose, values, and a more meaningful way of living. Faith integration is available for clients who desire it, while the practice remains welcoming and respectful toward clients from all backgrounds.
